Measurement Guide

Looking to learn or verify how the MagicWeaver app takes measurements?

Below is a guide on how we currently take measurements.

Have specific body measurements required in your manufacturing process?

We have you covered. MagicWeaver’s measurement points are completely customizable. Whether you need inseam or wrist to elbow, we can set any sequence of points on our 3D body model specific to your needs.

Neck

Place the measuring tape below the Adam’s apple and keep the tape 3 cm above the 7th cervical vertebra and the pit of the neck. The measuring tape should be parallel to the cross section of the neck.

Back Shoulder

Place the measuring tape at the left and right acromion. The measuring tape should touch the 7th cervical vertebra when passing the nape. When viewed from the back there should be a slight curvature.

Chest

Run the measuring tape around the fullest part of the chest. Ensure the person being measured is in a relaxed natural state.

Stomach

Run the measuring tape around the fullest part of the abdomen. Ensure the person being measured is in a relaxed natural state and not sucking in the stomach.

Wrist

Run the measuring tape around the widest part of the wrist, over the raised bump of the ulna bone.

Bicep

With the arm hanging at the side and relaxed, measure around the bicep at its fullest point. Ensure the person being measured is not flexing the arm.

Sleeve Length

With the arm hanging by the side in an relaxed state, place one end of the measuring tape at the right shoulder acromion. Measure along the arm down to the joint between the thumb and index finger.

Waist

Place the measuring tape around the widest part of the upper pelvic area. This is typically the iliac crest, where men typically wear their regular rise pants. If the person being measured is wearing a belt, measure right above the belt.

Hip

Run the measuring tape around the fullest part of the buttocks area while the person being measured is standing in a relaxed natural state. Ensure the tape is parallel to the cross section of this area.

Outseam

Place the measuring tape at the waist line, then measure down the outside of the leg to the ground. For accurate results do not wear shoes.
