This shows the reference taken from a magazine of the original painting called Romancing the Stones (left) done by Valerie Hinz in 1987. Next to it for comparison is my version done as a master study done in 1999. I am in no way claiming the composition as mine, just the painting on the right, and because this is a master study, and not completely original, I am not able to provide any merchandise for sale, as that would be unethical towards Ms. Hinz. I respect her artwork very deeply, and have wanted to do one of her workshops for a long time, but can not afford them, so I studied her work in the Equine Images magazine I subscribed to, and produced a painting attempting to learn what I could from her without her being here. Her work has a beautiful, airy, glowing quality that I wanted to attain. This was what I produced.
